Media Advisory - GST and tax harmonization: Foodservice industry spokesperson available for comment

TORONTO, Oct. 30 /CNW/ - A cut to the GST is eagerly anticipated by
Canada's restaurant operators, as it will mitigate the negative impact of this
unfair tax. The industry opposes sales tax harmonization in Ontario,
Saskatchewan and British Columbia, however, as it will result in significant
new taxes for residents of these provinces.
The 34,000-member Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association (CRFA)
represents Canada's $53-billion foodservice industry.
