Media advisory - Groundbreaking Report to be Released on For-Profit Health Clinics in Canada

    TORONTO, Oct. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Over the past decade, for-profit health
clinics have opened to controversy and opposition across Canada. For more than
a year, researchers have worked to find all the private for-profit clinics
across the country. The findings are being released in a new report on Monday,
Oct. 6. Information includes: How many for-profit clinics are operating in
Canada? How many clinics are violating the Canada Health Act? How are the
for-profit clinics affecting costs and access in the public system? Where are
they recruiting their staff from? What do they mean for the future of our
public health system? What are our governments doing about it?
