Media advisory - Grassroots Organization Calls for Government Action in relation to Children with ASDs



    MONTREAL, June 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Quebec is the only jurisdiction is North
America where psychologists with appropriate training do not have the right
the diagnose children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). Furthermore, the
Quebec government has deliberately set up roadblocks to prevent children with
ASDs from receiving treatment if they do not have a diagnosis. On the eve of
its presentation to the National Assembly, the Autism/ASD Action Network is
bringing together parents and health care professionals to speak out:
