Media Advisory - Government of Canada Celebrates Canada's First Airplane Flight



    BADDECK, NS, Feb. 20 /CNW/ - Mr. Rob Merrifield, Member of Parliament for
Yellowhead and Minister of State (Transport) will announce a Government of
Canada investment in the ongoing commemoration of Canada's entry into the age
of aviation. Mr. Merrifield will also unveil a Parks Canada and Historic Sites
and Monuments Board of Canada plaque commemorating the national historic
significance of The First Airplane Flight in Canada.
    Mr. Merrifield will be representing the Honourable Jim Prentice, Canada's
Environment Minister and Minister responsible for Parks Canada, at this event.
