Media Advisory - FCM Campaign to bring more women into municipal government comes to Vancouver



    VANCOUVER, March 15 /CNW Telbec/ - Federation of Canadian Municipalities'
Past President Ann MacLean, Mayor of New Glasgow, N.S., will speak on FCM's
campaign to bring more women into municipal government on Friday, March 16, at
the Wosk Centre in Vancouver. She will speak at 10:30 a.m. (all times Pacific)
and will be available to news media at approximately 10:50 a.m.
    Mayor MacLean is the keynote speaker at an event sponsored jointly by FCM
and the City of Vancouver, part of FCM's cross-country campaign to increase
the percentage of women in municipal government to 30 per cent by 2026. The
event is open to news media.
