Media advisory - Environmental NGO's launch 'COUNTDOWN TO OCEANS DAY 2008' - "It's time for Canada to start managing our oceans in a way that ensures their health and productivity."



    OTTAWA, Feb. 12 /CNW Telbec/ - Jennifer Lash, Executive Director and
Founder of Living Oceans Society, and Bill Wareham, David Suzuki Foundation's
Senior Conservation Specialist, will hold a press conference to launch
COUNTDOWN TO OCEANS DAY 2008.
    Mr. Wareham and Ms. Lash have been briefing Ministers, their
representatives and opposition critics on their major initiative designed to
raise public awareness of the need for the federal government to meet
commitments outlined in the federal ocean strategy.
    Ms. Lash and Mr. Wareham will provide media representatives in attendance
with a briefing note and 'COUNTDOWN TO OCEANS DAY 2008' clocks.
