Media Advisory - Educators, parents speak out in support of Africentric Schools



    TORONTO, Feb. 7 /CNW/ - Black educators, academics, parents, students and
community activists will hold a press conference at Queen's Park on Thursday
February 7, 2008 at 10 a.m. to publicly endorse the Africentric school
proposal approved by trustees of the Toronto District School Board.
    The group is celebrating the historic decision and encouraging the board
to resist pressure from various quarters and follow through on the key
recommendation for an Africentric alternative school scheduled to open in
2009.
