Media Advisory - Education Quality and Accountability Office to release school and board results of province-wide testing and full provincial report



    TORONTO, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - At 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2007,
the Education Quality and Accountability Office (EQAO) will release student
achievement results by school and school board for the 2006-2007 Assessments
of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary Division (Grades 1-3) and Junior
Division (Grades 4-6), and the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics. Schools and
boards will be able to speak about their individual results at this time.
    At this time, EQAO will also release its full report entitled Ontario
Student Achievement: EQAO's Provincial Report on the Results of the 2006-2007
Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics, Primary Division (Grades 1-3)
and Junior Division (Grades 4-6), and the Grade 9 Assessment of Mathematics:
English-Language Schools. The report includes subgroup and contextual data, a
summary of findings, strategies for success and profiles of successful
schools.
    The Provincial Report and school, school board and provincial results
will be posted on EQAO's Web site, www.eqao.com.
