Media Advisory - Dr. Anne Golden to Speak To Aerospace Association of Canada

OTTAWA, Sept. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - The aerospace industry is one of the
bright lights of Canada's manufacturing sector. That is the message the
President and CEO of The Conference Board of Canada, Anne Golden, will bring
to the annual meeting of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada (AIAC)
(http://www.aiac.ca/), on Wednesday, September 17, 2008
Golden will outline four global trends affecting every part of the
Canadian economy, noting how these trends affect the aerospace industry.
"The Conference Board has been agonizing over the fact that in spite of
all of Canada's advantages, our economy has been underperforming in almost all
areas. One exception is the aerospace industry," said Dr. Golden. "Despite
significant challenges, within the manufacturing sector, aerospace is a
good-news story."
The Conference Board recently partnered with the AIAC to produce its
semi-annual industrial forecast on the aerospace industry, Canadian Industrial
Outlook: Canada's Aerospace Product Manufacturing Industry.
