    Canadian Paraplegic Association Ontario Invites you to Raise Awareness of
    People with Disabilities and Celebrate our Work

    TORONTO, Nov. 7 /CNW/ -

    
    WHAT:       A terrific assembly of chefs, celebrities, artists and
                community leaders is coming out to support Canadian
                Paraplegic Association Ontario (CPA Ontario), and celebrate
                the work the organization does to help people with spinal
                cord injuries and other disabilities to live independently in
                the community.

                You're invited to cover our reception prior to the Dirty
                Dancing preview night at the Royal Alexandra Theatre.

    WHO:        The event will feature:
                -  ten celebrity chefs including Jamie Kennedy, the up and
                   coming "Food Dudes", Donna Dooher of Mildred Pierce and
                   Pascal Ribreau of Celestin and more
                -  Canadian Idol Eva Avila
                -  HGTV's Colin and Justin
                -  Eleanor Bergstein, Author of Dirty Dancing
                -  Joanne Smith formerly of CBC TV's Moving On
                -  "Spirit" a dancer with paraplegia who will perform a
                   specially created routine that redefines the boundaries of
                   mobility.

    WHY:        To help raise awareness of people with disabilities. Strongly
                reinforcing the messages that only you can define who you are
                and what you are able to do, CPA Ontario mission is
                personified in the underlying theme of Dirty Dancing -
                "Nobody puts Baby in the corner". All proceeds from the event
                will support CPA Ontario's programs including peer support,
                advocacy, and information, community, attendant, and
                employment services

    DATE/TIME:  Friday, November 9th; 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
