McMichael Canadian Art Collection Gets New Support From the Provincial
TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - Culture Minister Caroline Di Cocco will be at
the McMichael Canadian Art Collection Tuesday morning to address local
dignitaries and to make an important funding announcement
WHAT: Minister of Culture to make announcement and to address a
gathering of local dignitaries
WHEN: April 3rd 11.00 a.m. (address and photo op will take a maximum
of 30 minutes)
WHERE: McMichael Canadian Art Collection, The gallery is located on
Islington Avenue, north of Major Mackenzie Drive in Kleinburg.
Nearest largest intersection is Major Mackenzie and Hwy 27. The
actual event will take place in the West Coast Gallery in front
of a Haida Totem Pole.

- McMichael is in an upswing. The gallery has enjoyed record attendance
for its exciting new exhibitions, such as the blockbuster exhibition
Norval Morrisseau, and the current Takao Tanabe retrospective.

About the gallery
The McMichael Canadian Art Collection is an agency of the Government of
Ontario and acknowledges the support of the Ministry of Culture. Admission is
$15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students, and $30 for families. There is a
$5 fee for parking (members do not pay for parking).
