Media advisory - Cornwall Public Inquiry's Policy Director to outline plans for 'informal testimony'



    CORNWALL, ON, June 10 /CNW Telbec/ - Colleen Parrish, Director of Policy
for the Cornwall Public Inquiry, will hold a media briefing to discuss
informal testimony opportunities for the public as part of Phase 2 of the
Inquiry. Phase 2 focuses on building an environment in the Cornwall area that
supports healing and reconciliation.
    Ms Parrish will provide an overview of what has already been undertaken
by way of public consultation that helped shape how 'informal testimony' will
be heard. She will also discuss how the public can participate in "telling
their stories" during this private process - for which registration is
currently under way. Opportunities are available beginning in mid-June 2008
until mid-November 2008.
    On-hand will be several members of the Inquiry's Advisory Panel who are
part of the team that will hear the informal testimony. Several members can
speak to their personal experience in similar situations.
