Media advisory - Cornwall Public Inquiry enters new phase of evidence; Commissioner to comment on next steps, up-coming schedule



    CORNWALL, ON, Sept. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Justice G. Normand Glaude,
Commissioner of the Cornwall Public Inquiry, will provide the public with an
overview of the Inquiry's plans for the remainder of the hearings schedule.
The Inquiry will be moving into a new phase of testimony involving evidence
that will provide community context, followed by institutional evidence.
    The Commissioner's comments will be presented Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 as
the first order of business before hearing from the first witness scheduled to
provide community context evidence, Perry Dunlop, a former Cornwall Police
officer.
    In his statement, Commissioner Glaude will outline plans for both parts
of the Commission's mandate: Phase I evidentiary hearings as well as for Phase
2, the part of the mandate that supports healing and reconciliation.
    Hearings begin on Monday at 1 p.m.
