Media Advisory - Concordia Students to Protest International Tuition Fee Hike



    MONTREAL, June 17 /CNW Telbec/ - On Thursday, June 19, 2008, students
will be demonstrating outside the Concordia University Board of Governors
meeting where the Board will be voting on an increase in international tuition
fees of 10% ($1000) for the third time this year. Students and faculty members
heavily oppose the Board's attack on international students and are urging the
Board members to vote against this unpopular increase that would make
Concordia one of the most expensive universities in Quebec for international
students.
    Protest against the proposed international tuition increase Thursday,
June 19, 2008, 7:30 a.m. Corner of Maisonneuve and Guy.
