Media advisory - Commander Joint Task Force Haiti returns home

VALCARTIER GARRISON, QC, March 22 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend the homecoming of Brigadier-General Guy Laroche, Commander Joint Task Force Haiti, and of about 100 of his soldiers this Monday in Quebec:

    
    When:  Monday, March 22, 2010, 5:30 p.m. (plane set to arrive at
           6:00 p.m.)
    Where: Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport, International Zone
    

The 850 or so soldiers from Valcartier, comprising the Land Force element of Joint Task Force Haiti, are mostly home after a two month mission. During its deployment, this contingent has offered the Haitian population emergency medical services, engineering expertise, land mobility, as well as security support.

It is recommended that media representatives that wish to be present call the Public Affairs Officer at one of the numbers below Monday afternoon to make sure that flight plans haven't changed.
