the Battle of Normandy soon approaching, War Amps CEO Cliff Chadderton has
introduced a special section honouring this milestone on his blog at
Since launching his blog last year, Mr. Chadderton, a D-Day veteran
himself, has posted a number of entries regarding the June 6, 1944 landing and
the critical days of the Normandy campaign that followed.
The entries tell some of the lesser-known stories and facts about D-Day,
and include his own recollections and commentary based on his personal
experiences at that time. The special section will gather these entries
together and he will continue to post new ones leading up to and during the
