What: Canada Lands Company CLC Limited (CLC) will provide an important
update to the media and the public about one of Montréal's largest
and most exciting development projects - Les Bassins du Nouveau
Havre, in the city's South-Ouest Borough. The company will talk
about the massive deconstruction of the former mail processing
plant on the Lachine Canal, the revised development plans and the
launch of the construction phase of this project.
New visuals will be on hand.
VIPs will showcase the sustainable deconstruction methods being
utilized to remove one the largest buildings in the city.
CLC is a federal Crown corporation that optimizes the financial
and community value obtained from surplus strategic properties no
longer required by the Government of Canada.
Who: Montréal Mayor Gérald Tremblay is due to attend and speak;
Sud-Ouest Borough Mayor, Jacqueline Montpetit, is due to attend
CLC President and CEO Mark Laroche will speak; and
Government of Canada representative.
