Media Advisory - CAW Rally Wednesday at Niagara Falls MPP's Office Over Edscha Workers Severance



    ST. CATHARINES, ON, June 9 /CNW/ - CAW members including workers from
auto parts supplier Edscha Canada in Niagara Falls, Ontario will hold a rally
Wednesday morning outside the office of Niagara Falls MPP Kim Craitor.
    The Fighting for Our Jobs and Severance Rally will get underway at     
10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10 outside Craitor's office at 3930 Montrose Road,
Suite 8, Niagara Falls.
    CAW Local 199 President Wayne Gates, CAW Assistant to the President Jerry
Dias, and Edscha plant chairperson Brian Nicholl will speak at the rally.
    CAW Local 199 represents approximately 200 workers at Edscha Canada in
Niagara Falls, which is slated to close at the end of the month. The company
is refusing to pay the workers severance.
