Media Advisory - CAW President Buzz Hargrove Remains Stranded in Caribbean - Daimler/Chrysler Meeting Scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Today



    BRAMPTON, ON, March 11 /CNW/ - CAW president Buzz Hargrove remains
stranded in the Caribbean region, his 6:00 a.m. flight to Toronto cancelled
this morning.
    The CAW Local 1285 membership meeting for Daimler/Chrysler workers in
Brampton, Ontario today, March 11, was rescheduled to 2:00 p.m. because
Hargrove's flight to Toronto was cancelled yesterday.
    The CAW Local 1285 membership meeting will proceed today at 2:00 p.m. at
the Pearson Convention Centre, 2638 Steeles Avenue East in Brampton (Airport
Road and Steeles Avenue).
    Ken Lewenza, chair of the CAW's DaimlerChrysler Master Bargaining
Committee and Bob Chernecki, assistant to the CAW President, will participate
in the membership meeting today.
    The special meeting has been called to review new developments concerning
the future of the plant and the current products being produced at the
facility.
    The meeting is open to CAW members only.
