Media Advisory - CAW and GM meet today to discuss Oshawa operations



    TORONTO, June 26 /CNW/ - CAW National President Buzz Hargrove along with
top CAW leadership from Oshawa will meet with General Motors officials today
at the union's headquarters in Toronto at 11 a.m. to further discuss GM's
Oshawa operations.
    This is the second meeting between the two sides since the union removed
a blockade of GM's Canadian headquarters following a court injunction.
    The CAW and GM negotiated product commitments for the flex car plant and
truck plant during the last round of negotiations. The company announced
June 3 that it will close the Oshawa truck plant in 2009.
