Media Advisory - CASA to Respond to Statistics Canada's "University Tuition Study"

    OTTAWA, Sept. 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Statistics Canada's annual "University
Tuition Study" is set to be released on Wednesday, September 5th, 2007.
The Canadian Alliance of Student Associations will be available for
comment throughout the day in response to the report.
In recent years, the tuition study has demonstrated a steady increase in
post-secondary tuition fees across the country, confirming the woes of
students and parents. While the costs of tuition in the provinces of Quebec,
Manitoba and Newfoundland have remained below the national average, students
in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Saskatchewan have been paying notably higher
prices for a post-secondary education.
In light of the upcoming report, CASA looks forward to providing an
outlet for student voices to be heard and understood.

The Canadian Alliance of Student Associations is a not-for-profit
national student organization, offering progressive, common sense education
reform solutions.
