HALIFAX, April 28 /CNW/ - On Sunday, May 3rd, walkers from across
Atlantic Canada will join thousands of Canadians from coast to coast, in the
eighth annual Walk for Kids Help Phone. Walk events are taking place in 11
communities throughout Atlantic Canada, as well as more than 50 others across
Last year, the Walk for Kids Help Phone raised $3 million to help support
Canada's only toll-free, confidential and anonymous phone and online
counselling, information and referral service for children and youth.
In 2009, Kids Help Phone is celebrating 20 years of being there for kids
in communities across Canada. Residents in Atlantic Canada are invited to help
celebrate by walking so kids can talk about the issues and questions that are
important to them.
