Media Advisory - Canadian Labour movement launches national drive to support locked-out Journal de Québec workers



    MONTREAL, March 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Michel Arsenault, Quebec Federation of
Labour (QFL) president and Ken Georgetti, Canadian Labour Congress (CLC)
president will join Paul Moist, national president and Claude Généreux,
national secretary-treasurer respectively, of the 570,000-strong Canadian
Union of Public Employees in announcing details of a pan-Canadian campaign and
tour to publicize, mobilize and gather support for the issues surrounding the
conflict between the 250 workers at the Journal de Québec and their employer
Quebecor/Sun Media Corporation. Many of the locked-out workers will be present
at the media conference.
