EDMONTON, April 14 /CNW/ - The Canadian Diabetes Association and
Co-presenter Shoppers Drug Mart will host a Live Smart Diabetes Expo in
Edmonton on April 14, 2007 at the Shaw Conference Centre.
Diabetes management is a 24/7 undertaking and the stakes are high. If
left untreated, or improperly managed, diabetes can result in heart disease,
blindness, kidney failure and amputation. Understandably, it is essential for
people living with diabetes to learn and develop the self-management skills
required to reduce the likelihood of these complications.
The Edmonton Expo will provide access to healthcare providers, the latest
in diabetes-related products and services and an opportunity to interact with
others affected by diabetes. It is a one-stop shop for diabetes-related
information, enabling people affected by diabetes to gain the knowledge
necessary to manage the disease.
