Media Advisory - Canada's New Government to announce its Regulatory Framework for Industrial Air Emissions



    OTTAWA, April 25 /CNW Telbec/ - The Minister of the Environment John
Baird will announce the details of Canada's New Government's Regulatory
Framework for Industrial Air Emissions on April 26th, 2007 in downtown
Toronto.
    Members of the Media are invited to attend a lockup, briefing and Press
conference which be held in downtown Toronto from noon until 4:00 p.m. on
April 26th, 2007. Prior to the Press Conference, Senior Environment Canada
officials will hold a media briefing to explain the details of the
Government's regulatory framework to tackle climate change and reduce air
pollution.

    Time:   12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. (lock up ends)

    Event:  Media Briefing by Environment Canada officials
    Time:   1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

    Event:  Press conference (inside lock-up)
    Time:   2:45 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

    Once the lockup has commenced, no one will be allowed to leave designated
areas or contact their office until the embargo is lifted.
    Entry is restricted and journalists must provide valid media credentials
and/or a letter of assignment in order to enter the lock-up. For more
information, media representatives interested in attending the lockup should

    Journalists will be required to sign an undertaking to respect the release
arrangements and not to remove, release or communicate documents, materials or
information, or other records of any nature whatsoever, to anyone in any
manner (including the use of wireless communication devices such as wireless
microphones, wireless modems and air cards, cellular phones and personal
digital assistants) until they are released from embargo.
    Wireless communication devices such as cellular phones, BlackBerries,
personal digital assistants, two-way radios and/or any other removable
wireless communication devices including modems, air cards and wireless
microphones will not be allowed in the lockup area.
    Media will be responsible for disabling any internal built-in wireless
devices on their laptop, notebook and other portable computers. Those who fail
to do so may be requested to turn in their computer.
