    OTTAWA, Sept. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - The National Board of Directors of the
Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) convenes September 3 - 6 in
Jasper, Alta.
    More than 100 municipal leaders and observers from across the country
will meet to set FCM policy across a range of priorities important to
Canadians' such as infrastructure investments to safeguard roads, bridges and
water quality, and transit, housing, policing services and rural
sustainability - critical issues for FCM's federal election strategy.

    
    WHAT:  FCM National Board of Directors meets
    WHEN:  September 3 - 6, 2008
    WHERE: Jasper Park Lodge, Jasper, Alta.
    

    Board and committee meetings are in-camera - interviews can be
coordinated with FCM's President, members of the FCM Executive, Chair of FCM's
Big City Mayors' Caucus and by issue - infrastructure, policing, transit,
rural/urban, Canada's north, etc.
