Media Advisory - Canada and Alberta sign Aboriginal employment partnership agreements with two of Alberta's largest employers



    EDMONTON, March 8 /CNW/ - Media are invited to attend and witness a
signing ceremony of two Aboriginal Workforce Participation Initiative (AWPI)
agreements on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at the Canadian Native
Friendship Centre, 11205 - 101 Street.
    The AWPI agreements promote career and employment opportunities for
Aboriginal people within the City of Edmonton and Capital Health.
    The event will include remarks from The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister
of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Edmonton Mayor Stephen Mandel,
Capital Health Board Vice-Chair Wendy Kinsella and a representative from the
Province of Alberta.
    Following the ceremony, there will be an opportunity for media questions
and interviews.
