Media Advisory - "Buyer Beware," former Clinton-Bush Defence Official Warns MPs



    OTTAWA, March 28 /CNW Telbec/ - Former U.S. Assistant Secretary of
Defense and Director, Operational Test and Evaluation, Philip Coyle, will
discuss his testimony to Members of Parliament at a press conference in
Ottawa.
    Coyle will appear as a witness at the Commons Standing Committee on
National Defence Thursday morning as part of its study of military
procurement.
    Philip Coyle has had direct involvement in over 200 major defence
    acquisition programs. In his testimony, he will urge MPs to "do their
    homework" on major equipment programs and the claims of military
    contractors, and will advise against the controversial practice of
    sole-source contracting.
