Media Advisory - Brampton to join WSIB on road to zero injuries, illnesses and fatalities



    BRAMPTON, ON, Nov. 13 /CNW/ - The Hon. Steven W. Mahoney, P.C., Chair of
the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), will appear before Brampton
City Council to present the Community Workplace Health and Safety Charter as
Brampton joins the WSIB on its road to zero injuries, illnesses and
fatalities.
    Mr. Mahoney's address to Brampton's mayor and councillors will outline
the important role municipalities can play in eliminating workplace incidents
among city employees, as well as in workplaces within the communities they
represent.

    Ontario's Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) plays a key role in
the province's occupational health and safety system. The WSIB administers
