LETHBRIDGE, AB, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - Media representatives are invited to
attend the tenth season opening of "Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy" on Thursday,
October 23rd, 2008. This fun and exciting grassroots program offers local
community children at the atom level (ages 9 to 10 years) the chance to learn
game enhancing skills and to take to the ice with their local heroes in
pursuit of their hockey dreams. Players from the Lethbridge Hurricanes,
Lethbridge Minor Hockey and ENMAX representatives will be onsite at the ENMAX
Centre as the new season kicks off.
This season, ENMAX Energy Corporation's popular children's hockey program
will visit 16 communities throughout Alberta, providing young Alberta hockey
players with the opportunity to skate alongside WHL or NHL hockey celebrities.
"Pond Hockey by ENMAX Energy" continues to play an important role in the
development of young hockey players throughout the province and is tangible
evidence of the Corporation's commitment to youth and community pride.
