Media Advisory - Announcement on improvements to rail line and passenger services to Keewatin Railway Company



    OTTAWA, June 5 /CNW Telbec/ - Media representatives are invited to attend
an event announcing federal funding to the Keewatin Railway Company for
capital improvements to the passenger rail service between The Pas and
Pukatawagan in northern Manitoba. Keewatin Railway is a passenger and freight
rail company owned and operated by three First Nations communities.
    Senator Terry Stratton will be joined at the event by: Chief Arlen Dumas,
Mathias Colomb Cree Nation; Chief Duke Beardy of the Tataskweyak Cree Nation
and Philip Morris, Councillor of the War Lake First Nation.
