Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and as Atlantic Canada's Official
Supporter of the 2010 Winter Games, Aliant is hosting John Furlong on a four
stop Atlantic Canadian tour from November 4-7, 2008 with visits to
Charlottetown, PE, Moncton, NB, Halifax, NS and St. John's, NL.

Aliant's Vice President Bruce Howatt, will host John Furlong, CEO of
VANOC who will deliver the keynote address. Mr. Furlong will share his views
on the inspiration that can be drawn from the Olympic and Paralympic
movements, and will be available for media interviews.

Winter Games Mascots
Aliant Regional Manager, Keith Lambe, joined by Olympic athletes Kara
Grant - two-time Olympic modern pentathlete from Stratford and Charlottetown's
Dave MacEachern,- Olympic bobsleigh gold medalist (Nagano 1998) will host the
Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Mascots - Miga, Sumi, and Quatchi - at
Sherwood Elementary. Together they will share the Olympic spirit of the 2010
Winter Games with 500 staff and children onsite at the school.
