Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and as Atlantic Canada's Official
Supporter of the 2010 Winter Games, Aliant is hosting John Furlong on a four
stop Atlantic Canadian tour from November 4-7, 2008 with visits to Halifax,
NS, St. John's, NL, Moncton, NB and Charlottetown, PE.

Aliant is once again the presenting sponsor of the Halifax Chamber of
Commerce Annual Fall Dinner. Karen Sheriff, Chief Executive Officer and
Heather Tulk, Senior Vice President, Bell Aliant will host John Furlong, CEO
of VANOC who will deliver the keynote address. Mr. Furlong will share his
views on the inspiration that can be drawn from the Olympic and Paralympic
movements, and will be available for media interviews.

Photo Opportunity: 250 Students from Harbour View Elementary School with
the 2010 Winter Games Mascots
Aliant, with Regional Manager Frank Morgan, joined by Olympic athletes
Andrew Russell - canoer from Dartmouth and Sydney's Fabian Joseph - men's
hockey silver medalist (Albertville 1992 and Lillehammer 1994) will host the
Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic mascots - Miga, Sumi, and Quatchi - at
Harbour View Elementary. Together they will share the spirit of the 2010
Winter Games with 250 staff and children onsite at the school.
