OTTAWA, Oct. 31 /CNW Telbec/ - ATAC announces that it will unveil the
first comprehensive and independent review of greenhouse gas emissions from
commercial aviation operations in Canada during its 73rd Annual General
Meeting and Trade Show from November 4-6, 2007, at the World Trade and
Convention Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
The report, prepared by noted international aviation consultants, Jacobs
Consultancy, will be released concurrently with the start of the main plenary
session at the AGM on Monday November 5 at 10am, AST. The full report,
including an executive summary, will be available at the plenary session and
on our website; www.atac.ca.
During the plenary session, the report's author, Matthew Bol, will make a
presentation highlighting the report's key findings. Bol will be joined by a
high-level panel of aviation experts to provide their own unique perspectives
on the theme of this year's session; "Aviation and the Environment: Clearing
the Air". The full panel is comprised of:

In addition, Transport Minister Lawrence Cannon will be our keynote
speaker at the opening luncheon on Monday November 5, from 12:30-2:00pm.
