Media Advisory - Afghan MP Malalai Joya to address violence in Afghanistan

TORONTO, Nov. 6 /CNW/ - The Toronto Coalition to Stop the War will hold a
news conference for Malalai Joya, Afghan MP, on Wednesday, November 7 at 10:30
a.m. at Trinity-St. Paul's Centre, 427 Bloor Street West (west of Spadina),
main floor.
Malalai Joya has attracted international attention for her relentless
criticism of the presence of warlords in the Afghan government, despite
numerous death threats and her suspension from Parliament.
Joya will bring her unique perspective to Monday's suicide bombings north
of Kabul, which killed 64 people, including several of her fellow
Parliamentarians.
Other speakers include a Member of Parliament from the New Democratic
Party and representatives from the labour movement and the faith community.
