Media Advisory - A different way to celebrate dad.

    TORONTO, June 12 /CNW/ -

What: The Father's Day Build is a Habitat tradition that offers fathers,
sons and daughters to build bonds and homes together. The Father's
Day Build promises to be a day of fun and philanthropy, learning
new skills, meeting great people, and helping Habitat for Humanity
Toronto build homes and hope in our city. 100% of all funds raised
through this event will go directly to building homes for families
           in need of affordable housing.

Where: Habitat for Humanity Toronto's Hainford St. build site
(2 Hainford Street), near Lawrence Ave. & Manse Rd.

Who: Dads from all over the city with their sons, daughters, wives or
fathers will be building homes alongside new Habitat homeowner
           families like the Castillo-James':

For Sonia Jaimes and Luis Orellano Castillo, the concept of family
is one that holds special meaning for them. In their current home,
the family's living conditions are cramped and unfavorable. Sonia,
Luis, and their son Daniel all share one room and Sonia's mother
sleeps in a small space off of the kitchen. For a family with a
zest and passion for life that involves enjoying international
foods, meeting new people and a life filled with learning, moving
into their new Habitat home will mean leaving the confines of
their small one bedroom apartment and being granted the
opportunity to enjoy life to its fullest. Luis Orellano Castillo
will help build his family's new Habitat home with many other
fellow fathers and build volunteers during the Father's Day Build
on the Hainford build site. The Castillo-Jaimes family is
comforted by the fact that they are now able to grow together in a
place where they can stay, share and be a family. In Luis' words,
when asked what the term "home" meant to him, he simply replied,
           "family".
