TORONTO, March 30 /CNW/ - To celebrate the opening of 20th Century Fox's
feature film, Firehouse Dog, opening on April 4 on more than 3,000 screens
across North America, the producers will host a screening tomorrow with the
Toronto cast and crew. Following the screening, Director and Executive
Producer Todd Holland will be available to the media.
Date: Saturday, March 31
Time: Screening at noon; media availability at 3:30 p.m.
Location: Regent Theatre, 551 Mount Pleasant Rd.
Filmed entirely in Toronto in late 2005, 20th Century Fox selected
Toronto for its filming location as a result of the city's reputation as a
centre of excellence and its production assets, including access to an
extensive pool of actors; professional and experienced crews and suppliers;
and strong municipal and provincial government co-operation and commitment to
the film and television industry.
"I'm delighted to be coming home to my Toronto production family," said
Todd Holland. "The two greatest creative journeys of my career - the
television series Wonderfalls and Firehouse Dog - have been with the same
creative production team in Toronto. I have the greatest respect and
admiration for the entire Toronto production community."
"Toronto is pleased to continue to be a leading choice for film
production in Canada and North America," said Rhonda Silverstone, Manager,
City of Toronto Film and Television Office. "We are proud of our ability to
offer world-class locations, crews and production facilities as we continue to
reinforce our status as a centre of excellence."
"Having provided scouting and facilitation assistance to all of Todd's
Ontario based productions, we were thrilled when he and his team chose Toronto
for Firehouse Dog," added Donna Zuchlinski, Acting Director of Industry
Development at Ontario Media Development Corporation.
Toronto is Canada's largest city and sixth largest government, and home
