Media Advisory - 2030 Transit Plan is Too Long to Wait: Students Petition for Immediate Transit Funding in British Columbia



    VICTORIA, Jan. 30 /CNW/ - Representatives of the Canadian Federation of
Students, including representatives speaking on behalf of Camosun College,
University of Victoria, and Royal Roads University students will deliver
thousands of signatures to the BC Minister of Finance calling for immediate
investment in BC's public Transportation system.

    
    A press conference will be held on the front steps of the Legislature as
    follows:

    When:     Thursday, January 31, 9:30am
    Where:    Front steps of the BC Legislature
    What:     College and university students deliver thousands of signatures
              demanding immediate funding from BC Government for public
              transit.
    

    The Canadian Federation of Students is an alliance of 150,000 students in
British Columbia from 20 university and college students' unions.
