UK subsidiary SearchFlow launched a new service to help its clients meet the
demands of new legislation surrounding Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)
for commercial premises. Although large properties (above 10,000 square
metres) have needed an EPC since April of this year, new regulations launched
last month have extended this requirement to include commercial premises over
2,500 square metres, as well. As of October 1, 2008, legislation will require
every commercial property that is sold, leased or refinanced to hold a valid

website SearchFlow, and order all required commercial property information by
selecting one of the three panels and submitting their request, with a
response normally received within 24 hours.
Domestic EPCs are a compulsory element of the Home Information Pack,
which came into effect in England and Wales on August 1, 2007. An EPC advises
a homebuyer of the current energy efficiency of their target home and of the
potential energy conservation measures that can reduce carbon emissions from
this home and improve its energy efficiency.
