McMaster University sessional instructors reach tentative agreement



    HAMILTON, ON, June 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Sessional and music instructors at
McMaster University, represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees
(CUPE), reached a tentative agreement last night, averting a strike that would
have started on Monday.
    "We are pleased that we reached a deal prior to the strike deadline,"
said Mary Ellen Campbell, president of CUPE 3906. Details of the tentative
agreement will not be released until CUPE 3906 members review and ratify the
new contract in a ratification vote.
