Denso Manufacturing Canada Bringing New Product Line And 300 Jobs To
GUELPH, ON, June 20 /CNW/ - Denso Manufacturing Canada is doubling its
investment, expanding its operations and bringing a new product line to
Ontario announced Liz Sandals, MPP for Guelph-Wellington today, on behalf of
Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sandra Pupatello.
"This is a huge vote of confidence in Ontario and our auto sector. Denso
already has had great success in Ontario. We are holding discussions with the
company now to determine how the McGuinty government can be a partner in the
company's expansion plans to advance auto production and produce next
generation technologies in our province," said Pupatello.
Denso Manufacturing Canada is expanding its operations in Guelph to
produce its leading edge engine-cooling module (ECM). Denso, an auto parts
supplier to North American automakers, is bringing production of its ECM to
Ontario to help meet increased demand across the continent. Denso's Guelph
facility will be the only plant in Canada to produce the engine-cooling
"We are celebrating in Guelph today," said Sandals. "Denso is investing
more and doing more in this community because of its great confidence in the
skills and talents of our workers. Now they will build on that success with
this new product mandate here in Guelph and create 300 high value jobs for
more of our workers."
The Denso plant in Guelph produces heating, ventilation and air-cooling
components, employing about 300 workers. With the expanded mandate at the
facility, the company will double its workforce to about 600 and add ECM
production to the Denso Canada product line.
