$300,000 Will Help Improve The Quality Of Life
PICKERING, ON, March 30 /CNW/ - The Ontario Ministry of Tourism is
providing $300,000 to the City of Pickering to improve the quality of life for
residents, announced Minister of Tourism Jim Bradley today.
"The Ministry of Tourism is pleased to support the City of Pickering,"
said Bradley. "We are assisting community initiatives that will stimulate
economic activity and increase the quality of life of Ontarians."
The City of Pickering is planning the redevelopment of its waterfront
including a series of public spaces along Lake Ontario, the world's 14th

vibrant and active community that offers a rich variety of recreational,
leisure and cultural activities for all ages and abilities."

by not only our heritage and unique natural setting, but also by what the
waterfront represents to Pickering residents and visitors of all ages and

Ontario's tourism industry is an important economic sector, contributing
$21 billion to the Ontario economy annually.
