Maytag brand's 100th anniversary milestone
Early in his career, F.L. Maytag determined that quality was the most
important element in building not just products that sell, but a company
people would trust over the long haul. A century later, this ideal of
reliability endures as the cornerstone of Maytag brand's legacy of quality.
Since unveiling its first washing machine in 1907, Maytag brand's suite of
quality and dependable appliances has grown to include such innovative
products as the ICE(2)0(TM) French Door Refrigerator, the Jetclean(TM) II
Dishwasher with SteamClean Option, and the new Epic z(TM) laundry pair. The
company has never wavered from its founder's steadfast commitment to quality -
that's why for over a quarter of a century, Maytag(R) washers have lasted
longer than any other leading brand.(xxx) Maytag(R) Home Appliances continues
its relentless pursuit to build the highest-quality, most dependable home
appliances. For more information about any Maytag brand appliance, visit

History of the Maytag(R) Repairman
Created in 1967, the Maytag(R) Repairman has become an iconic advertising
and marketing figure and is the longest running real-life advertising
character on network television. Clay Jackson of Richmond, VA, currently
portrays the character and is one of only four people to portray the Maytag(R)
Repairman since its creation. As the Maytag(R) Repairman, Jackson will play a
major role in Whirlpool Corporation's commitment to revitalizing the
100-year-old Maytag brand and will help bring its unequaled tradition of
quality and dependability to life.
