    EDMONTON, Jan. 21 /CNW/ - Matrikon (TSX:MTK) today reported on the first
phase of its Reseller Partner Program. The Partner Program complements
Matrikon's existing sales and marketing efforts by establishing a distribution
channel through which mature sales and service organizations can provide
Matrikon's leading technology to their client base. This instantly increases
Matrikon's potential install base, while significantly reducing the ramp-up
time and administrative costs associated with a more traditional approach of
organic expansion into new markets.

    In fiscal 2007 we met our goal of growing distribution channels by adding
nine Resellers to the partner program. In addition, sales from distribution
partners increased by 19% over fiscal 2006. In the first quarter, sales
through distribution partners increased by 34% compared to the quarterly
average sales by partners in fiscal 2007.
