pleased to announce that Manitoba Hydro is currently conducting a pilot
project to evaluate the Company's Lumen IQ(TM) Street Light Optimization
System as part of its Power Smart energy conservation strategy.
Manitoba Hydro has purchased a Lumen IQ(TM) system consisting of
10 microprocessor-based Lumen IQ(TM) Lamp Controllers and a Lumen IQ(TM)
Station communications hub. The system allows the street lights to be
individually managed and controlled over the Internet using Lumen IQ(TM)
The utility plans to evaluate the performance of the Lumen IQ(TM) Street
Light Optimization System over the coming winter to confirm the technology's
ability to reduce street lighting costs as well as perform reliably under the
province's extreme weather conditions.
