"We are thrilled to have such a fantastic line-up at the inaugural Music
in the Fields", says Rick McMurray, Kinsmen and co-chair of the event. Adding,
"It is a fantastic opportunity for music fans from all around south-western
and central Ontario to get together and see some of Canada's top country
musicians perform in this great setting."
Organizers plan to make Music in the Fields an annual event with profits
from the festival going to various charitable and local organizations in the
community. The Kinsmen's official charity, cystic fibrosis research, will also
be a recipient of the profits. Representatives from the Kinsmen estimate 6,000
and 8,000 tickets will be sold for this event.
