Louis Champagne to publicly apologize

SAGUENAY, QC, March 8 /CNW Telbec/ - CKRS morning man Louis Champagne
will be back behind the microphone on Monday, March 12 and will publicly
apologize to CKRS listeners.
"My comments could have been construed as being homophobic. I now realize
I should have chosen my words more carefully and I am very sorry. To all those
who were angered or hurt by my comments, I apologize and I assure you that my
remarks on homosexuality were in no way intended to be hurtful, scornful, or
discriminatory," Mr. Champagne will inform his listeners on March 12, when he
returns to the air.
Given these circumstances, Corus Quebec has decided to let the morning
