TORONTO, April 10 /CNW/ - L'Oréal Paris is thrilled to welcome Linda
Evangelista as the brand's new international spokesperson. A veritable fashion
icon around the globe, Linda will become the Ambassadress for numerous L'Oréal
Paris products such as Glam Shine lip gloss and her own signature Colour Riche
Star Secrets lipstick shade.
"I am pleased to be joining the incomparable L'Oréal Paris team. I am
also proud to associate my image with a company whose values and openness to
diversity are concerns that I share. I use L'Oréal Paris cosmetic and hair
products; the combination of expertise and glamour is what attracts me and
millions of other women every day. To be associated with such a talented and
beautiful group of women is truly an honour," says Linda Evangelista.
"Linda is a real chameleon; she knows exactly how to reinvent her look
making her a real inspiration for women and magazine covers a tremendous
success. Aside from such beauty appreciated amongst thousands, I thought it
was important to have a face that exuded 'fashion' beside the most renowned
cinematic actresses and L'Oréal Paris' other fashion Ambassadress, Doutzen
Kroes. This is a strategic facet of the brand, which we had to develop
further," says Youcef Nabi, International Managing Director of L'Oréal Paris.
"L'Oréal Paris of Canada is delighted to have one of Canada's most famous
faces, Linda Evangelista, as our new international Ambassadress for the brand.
She exudes confidence and she is definitely 'the' fashion icon, as she has
reigned over the most prestigious catwalks from around the world for more than
20 years. For L'Oréal Paris in Canada and with our long-term commitment to
this country's fashion industry, through our title sponsorship of L'Oréal
Fashion Week in Toronto, it is a perfect fit," says Anik Gagnon, Brand
