TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - CMA Ontario, and its 20,000 members, is proud to
announce that Ivan Fraser, CMA, of Wasaga Beach, Ontario, has been appointed
as one of twenty new Fellows of The Society of Management Accountants of
The FCMA designation is a prestigious honour awarded to Certified
Management Accountants (CMA) who, through their outstanding achievements,
bring distinction to the management accounting profession and serve as a role
model for others.
Mr. Fraser, recently retired from a career as a credit union executive,
has been an extremely active participant with both CMA Ontario and community
organizations. With the association, he served from 1980 to 1999 on a wide
range of committees including Finance and Program, and act as a board member
from 1996 to 1999, with one year in the role of Board Secretary.
In the community, Mr. Fraser served 21 years as President of the Compass
Charitable Foundation, for which he remains a board member, an organization
that builds and operates non-profit housing. Other previous commitments
include fundraising for the Salvation Army (14 years), Cub Pack leader and
assistant leader, and leadership positions at the Port Elgin Flying Club.
The FCMA designation demonstrates excellence in management accounting,
commitment to CMA Ontario, and a civic mindedness that brings community
