Country musician and B.C. native to perform tomorrow in Kelowna
KELOWNA, BC, Oct. 10 /CNW/ - World Vision and Lisa Brokop will join
together tomorrow night to honour Okanagan's World Vision child sponsors at
Kelowna's Mary Irwin Theatre. Brokop, a Canadian country singer/songwriter,
will perform some of her hits and share stories about her experiences visiting
World Vision projects in El Salvador.
World Vision is inviting local child sponsors to this evening of
appreciation, inspiration and entertainment to thank them for their support of
children in developing countries. The generous residents of Okanagan
communities currently sponsor 3,063 children through World Vision.
Nicolette Beharie, an editor of World Vision's Childview magazine, will
join Brokop and speak about her trip to Malawi and meeting Maggie, the child
she sponsors. Nicolette travels to developing countries to see first hand the
community work that World Vision donors help to provide.
